General's Compressed Charcoal are extra smooth, and most conveniently used by breaking into smaller pieces. The flat edge may be used for broad strokes, or sticks may be sanded to a fine point for detail work. The 960 Rectangular Compressed Charcoal offers a wider stick, 3 in. x 1/2 in. x 1/4, for a bigger drawing and shading surface. Available in an assorted stick pack of 3 hardnesses.
